Oklahoma State Capitol

We visited the Oklahoma State Capitol building in early October. We saw the original state Constitution and the beautiful murals on the dome of the building. We also learned about the Oklahoma State Seal. With the celebration of the Centennial, it was a great opportunity to let our children see where many important decisions are made each day for the state.

Vietnam Moving Wall Field Trip

Ben's class visited the Vietnam Moving Wall National Park in Broken Arrow in October. Mr. Sankey and Mrs. Toney organized the field trip. Vietnam veterans gave the kids the tour and talked about their experiences in Vietnam. We are so thankful to all those who give their service to our country.

Star Wars Labor Day Fling

We traveled to Ft. Worth to the Science Center to see the Star Wars extravaganza. R2D2 and C3P0 were there! We were in Star Wars heaven.

Friends Forever

Aaron and Becca make life so much fun. We are glad to live so close to them. Aaron and Ben have been Korea Camp buddies since they were five years old. Anna and Becca are High School Musical fans.

We Are Family!

It is such fun to live close to family again. Meeting in Bartlesville for lunch after church is great fun. Poppi, Mimaw and Cousin Nancy make Sunday's sing!

Emperor Max and His Birthday Cake

Happy 6th Birthday, Sweet Max! You are such sunshine in our lives. Your smile can light up the room brighter than the candles on your cake.
God has blessed us with our sweet Se Jin!
You really liked the race track cake we made for you.
I wasn't quite creative enough to figure out the Star Wars design. F
Forgive me!

School Days

Okay, Crusaders, it's off to school for another great year of learning.

Middle school for Ben, third grade for Anna and Kindergarten for Max.

Your friends at ICA are glad to see you back!

Heifer Project Thai Village

Ben, Anna and Max enjoyed the Thai village stilt homes on the Heifer Ranch. Anna enjoyed the rice being cooked on an open fire, while Ben and Max made Thai kites.

Heifer Project Global Village Day

We traveled to Arkansas to see the Heifer Project Ranch on Global Village Day. It was a wonderful experience. Ben and Anna enjoyed meeting this burrow, which was one of many animals we saw on the ranch. We learned about sustainable farming and how millions of people around the world have been helped by receiving an animal from the Heifer Project. We made tortillas in Guatemala, peanut butter in Africa, and we ate rice in the Thai village. We also saw the Mongolian yurts during our hayride tour of the ranch. It was a great day!

Ben's Gotcha Day

It is so hard to believe that you, sweet son, came into our lives twelve years ago. It is like yesterday that we first held you in our arms and made the long trip home from Korea. Little did we know how much God had blessed our family with when you became our son. Your sweet spirit and calm presence will carry you far in this life. May God bless you in the years to come. Happy Gotcha Day, Jung Woo!

Celebrating Chusok and Tet Trung Thu

Ben, Anna and Max celebrated the Autumn Moon Festival by making lanterns and walking around the neighborhood during the full moon.
The moon can be seen above Anna's head. It was actually full and huge. The children made a wish under the full moon.

Cross Country Runner

Ben ran on the ICA Cross Country team this fall.
We are so proud of him for sticking with it.
Coach Sankey had a short time to prepare the team,
but they did really well.
Go, Ben!!!!
